A high-level Disney exec planning for retirement built a five-bedroom home on the Intracoastal Waterway in Jupiter, Florida, designed for family holidays and vacations. Collaborating with Carlos Bonilla of Bonilla Torregroza Architecture, we created a home that pays homage to Spanish architecture with a curated palette of dark woods, handmade tiles.

Custom tiles in blue, yellow, green, and red feature in the bathrooms, kitchen, and stair risers, while iron and glass light fixtures cast a warm glow. The walls were painted in Farrow and Ball soft Skimming Stone and Dead Salmon providing a backdrop for the colorful fabric such as the Vitra settees, the walnut chair pillows covered in Maharam fabric and the sofa pillows in patterns by Paul Smith and Hella Jongerius fabrics. Fabrics in grays, turquoise, and red coordinate with the client’s Persian rugs. The result is a seamless blend of contemporary Spanish charm and the client’s collection of antique Persian rugs and pine furniture.
