This historic home blends Arts & Crafts style with a romanticized interpretation of California missions, featuring plastered stone rubble walls, hand-wrought iron gates, and terra cotta tiles. Inside, the kitchen retains original California Art tiles and warm terra cotta floors, while the bathroom showcases Batchelder tiles. The T-shaped floor plan, with its open layout, allows for natural airflow to cool the house.

The home required a full historic restoration. Original 1920s architectural plans helped restore key elements, including the breakfast nook table, kitchen sink cabinets, and front brick patio. The front courtyard, centered around an original fountain, offers an intimate space for dining and relaxation. A transformed garage and lean-to now house a vibrant art studio with a kiln and an office with built-in bookcases.

The garden, designed to echo early mission landscapes, features olive trees, citrus trees, California peppers, and a flourishing kitchen garden. A new hexagonal fountain with a vintage Gladding McBean vase adds to the garden’s charm, making this a serene retreat that honors its history and invites new memories.
